The Social Flash MOBILE app can be downloaded and run on any Apple iPad or iPhone using iOS 10.0 or higher.


A few recommended devices include the following:

  • iPad Mini 4
  • iPad 9.7” (current model iPad - 5th gen)
  • iPad Pro - 10.5” or 12.9”
  • iPhone 6s / 6 plus
  • iPhone 7 / 7 plus
  • iPhone 8 / 8 plus 
  • iPhone X

All of these devices have adequate resolution cameras that add to the quality of the engagement.  The iPhone 5S is acceptable, but does not fall within the recommended list of devices.  Simply put, the newer the device is, the better photo quality you will get as the cameras are increasingly getting better each model release.


Internet Connection Required

Along with selecting a device from the list above, you must also have a reliable and high speed internet connection for your device.  This can be wifi at the location of use or steady cellular data thru a built-in cellular LTE modem.  Though a cellular data plan adds costs to the overall use of the app, it drastically increases the possible locations you can use the app to capture customer experiences and eases logistics of finding reliable wifi.


A Good Case with a Swivel Handle is Recommended

Though a case is entirely up to you based on your use case and setting, we love a good protective case with a hand strap on the back that swivels to allow turning of the iPad toward the customer for their phone/email input.  There are many makers and models available.  One of which is the Swivel Case by Supfive, available on Amazon for most models and costs around $20.
