To add the collection of customer data, such as an email or phone number opt-in, you will turn on the "Gateway" feature within your promotion and set up your language and specific entry fields.  This feature is only available within the Professional Subscription Plan for MOBILE and/or any Kiosk Plan.  Instructions below will walk you through this process as well as retrieving the guest data after collection has happened.


Customer data that is collected at the time of photo sending at the kiosk or Mobile App entry points will not be made available for use as they are often in the situation of entering emails/phone numbers of other recipients and do not have the legal right to opt-in all entries.


1. Create a new promotion or edit an existing promotion.  Click on the "Gateway" tab on the left side.  Check the box to "Show Gateway page" and click the "Save" button on the bottom of that page.  Reload this page by clicking on the Gateway tab one more time.



2. Add an introductory sentence or two to the "Header Text" section.  This is the first item the guests will see after clicking their link to be taken to their photos.  Give them incentive or a good reason to opt-in and be clear about what they are opting into.


3. Set-up your desired fields and requirements for the guests input.  Below is a very standard situation for a simple email opt-in that is optional for the guests.



4. If you have the show "opt-in" checked, add a confirmation sentence about what they are choosing to opt-in to.



5. Add a simple, parting message or call to action of pressing the "Submit" button in the "Submit' Text field.  You may also use this for an age verification, or opt-in clause.  Something simple is typically all that is needed here.



6. Click the "Save" button on the bottom of the page when complete.  You can then click on the "View Preview" link at the top of the page to see how this will look.  This will open a preview window in another tab that can be closed.


After your event or a period of time your promotion has been active, you can download the set of registered guest information as a CSV file that can be opened with Excel, etc.  To do this, follow these instructions:


You can download any opt-in emails and other guest registration data from a created report from within your Portal Reports panel.  To do this, follow the instructions below:


1. Log in to Portal (go to portal.socialflashmedia.com)with the same user credentials you use for the Admin Panel.  Portal will automatically load to your Master Photo Gallery showing.


2. Click on the menu icon located on the top left corner of the page and click on "Report".  



3. The report is defaulted to the last 7 days, or the "Week in Review".



4. To filter your report, click on the date range or the filter icon on the upper right corner of the page.  Make your changes to the filter and click on "Apply" to see your affected report.



5. After you have filtered the report to cover the preferred date/device/promotion set, you will see your "Email Opt-in" figures in the Secondary Engagement section of the report.  Click on the "export list" link within the "guest opt-ins" box.  This will download a CSV file that can be opened with Excel, or other spreadsheet software.
