A great photo makes your guest's experience even better and dramatically improves your chance of postings, shares, likes, and comments - all promoting your business!  With just a little practice, the iPad has everything you need to take great pictures.

Though much of your photo quality will be dictated by using a newer, higher quality iPad (suggest iPad Pro) or iPhone (suggest iPhone 8 or 10), there are three main user-controlled factors that are equally important to pay attention to.  They are Focusing the photo, Setting the light balance, and Proper framing of your subjects in the frame.

Remember:

  • Focusing the photo - Tap the screen to Focus.  Example:

  • Setting the light balance - Tap the screen to adjust Light Balance (very important in bright and/or dark environments). Example:

  • Proper framing of your subjects in the frame - Example:

  • Photo Frames only have one orientation (Portrait or Landscape) - you'll have to set up and choose another Promotion to use a different orientation.  Do not turn the iPad sideways to take a landscape orientation photo when using a portrait orientation promotion or the photos will save sideways for the customers.
  • Hold the iPad still through the full photo taking process.
  • Take multiple photos (3-6) of groups for the best options, delete the ones you don't like on the next screen.
  • Look at the picture you just took.  Does it look like something you'd be proud to post to your social media?  If not, take another!  Digital photos are are about as close to free as we're gonna get.
