This article will walk you through setting up Guided Access Mode for an unattended Bantam Kiosk with a new iPad.  This mode blocks customers from accessing other functionality outside of what is needed for the the Social Flash MOBILE app software.  This is a built-in iOS feature.


1. In the iPad's Settings, Go to Display & Brightness and make sure the iPad has the Brightness turned all the way up.



2. In the iPad's Settings, Go to General and then to Accessibility.




3.  Scroll down and click on Guided Access.



4. Turn on Guided Access and then click on Passcode Settings.



6. Click on Select Guided Access Passcode.



7. Enter the 4-digit passcode of your choice.



8. After you have opened up the Social Flash MOBILE app and are ready to allow customers to use the Kiosk, TRIPLE CLICK the iPad 'Home Button' using a small pin through the front hole in the kiosk.  You will either see the options to "Start" guided access or if you have enabled previously, it will show the status on the screen for a few seconds to let you know you are in Guided Access.


9. To exit Guided Access, triple-tap the Home Button and enter your PIN.



10. Click on End to end Guided Access Mode.
