For the Range Kiosk, you have three options for connecting to the Internet - Ethernet cable, WiFi, or Cellular (using Cradlepoint on the Verizon or AT&T networks).  Below, we will walk you through each of the connection options:

Option #1 (most common, when available) - Cellular Data via Embedded Cradlepoint Modem (Verizon or AT&T):

1. Upon powering on and booting up your Range Kiosk, “Shutdown” and confirm twice to close the app from the launchpad, taking you back to the windows desktop.  If you are connected to any wifi source, be sure to "disconnect" from  wifi before continuing.

2. Confirm that the Cradlepoint modem power switch is in the "on" position and the lights on the top of the modem are on or flashing on/off.  It can take 5-10 minutes for the Cradlepoint router to fully initialize and establish a network connection.  You will know that it is ready to go if you see a clear box in the lower right corner of the windows desktop (icon tray).  Wait through any connection messages until this box is clear of any "!" icon.  The LAN Internet icon will look like one of the following (images shown are from Windows 7 and 10 for reference).

3. Now, double tap on the “Photobooth” icon on the desktop to relaunch the app.

Option #2 - Connecting to a local Wifi Network:

1. Confirm that the Cradlepoint modem power switch is in the "off" position and the lights on the top of the modem are not on or flashing.  Upon powering on and booting up your Range Kiosk, tap on the "Internet" button while on the Launchpad.

2. Choose to connect to the preferred wireless access point by tapping on the name of your desired network.  You may have to enter a password to gain access.  If this does not work for any reason (some wifi points are tough to connect to when within our app), simply close the app down by pressing “SHUTDOWN” and confirming twice, bringing you back to the Windows desktop.  You can then click on the wireless icon in the lower right icon tray to choose and connect.  The Wifi Internet icon will look like one of the following (images shown are from Windows 7 and 10 for reference).

 3. After establishing a connection to the internet, relaunch the “Photobooth” app.  The Internet button should be blue in color if porperly connected.

Option #3 - Connecting to a local LAN Network via direct plug in of an Ethernet Cable:

1. Connect your internet ready Ethernet Cable into the A/V Box Ethernet Jack within the leg of the Range Kiosk.

2. Upon powering on and booting up your Range Kiosk, “Shutdown” and confirm twice to close the app from the launchpad, taking you back to the windows desktop.  Confirm that your internet connection is active by viewing the clear box in the lower right corner of the windows desktop (icon tray).  The active LAN Internet icon will look like one of the following (images shown are from Windows 7 and 10 for reference).

NOTE: Some Range Kiosks require a manual swap of the A/V box Ethernet Cable with the Cradlepoint Ethernet Cable on the motherboard input to allow the connection from the A/V box ethernet jack, and swapping back to reconnect the Cradlepoint Ethernet Option.  In this case, you will see two ethernet cables inside the kiosk near the motherboard LAN jack to swap.  Some motherboards have two ethernet inputs and do not require this extra step when using the A/V ethernet jack.
