Frequently Asked Questions - Social Flash MOBILE

1. What if I take photos with the app, but am not ready to enter an email or photo number to send to the customer yet?

Answer: If you have queued photos in the app, ready to send, but do not want to actually send them to a customer quite yet, all you have to do is advance beyond the email / phone input screen to reset the app. The photos will be saved and sent to your PORTAL Gallery where they can be sent to customers at a later time.

2. How do I get access to the photos I have taken, to post on my Facebook Fan page, or other social media accounts?

Answer: As you take photos of customers, you will be sending their photos directly to them by way of their email or phone number. To access the same photos that were taken (regardless of being sent to customers or not) there are 2 options:

Option #1. Log into the Social Flash admin panel from any web browser using your email and password (step 4 above). Once logged in, click on the "Photos" tab on top. This will show you all of the photos taken with any device you have our app installed on. The photo list is organized by most recent photo at the front of the list and each photo will show which studio it was taken at and a time/date stamp.

Option #2, and the preferred method would be to use our post-capture share gallery called PORTAL. Using the same admin panel credentials, go to portal.socialflashmedia.com from any browser and log in. You will see all of the photos that have been taken and sent to the server. From here, you or your customers can select your photos and share them from the gallery directly to themselves.

You can see more information about PORTAL here.

3. Will the photos I take with your app fill up my iPad or iPhone's storage?

Answer: No, by default, the photos taken with the Social Flash MOBILE app are only held in temporary memory until they are sent to our servers, where you will be able to access them in the admin panel or PORTAL app. This means that your employees can easily install the app on their devices and take photos during workshops without worrying about the photos filling up their phone hard drive. And no more requiring them to send you the photos at the end of every day, as they will all show up in one centrally located place. You may choose to enable "Save Original Photo" within the MOBILE app settings to save an unframed copy of the original photo in your device's camera roll. Storage space is something you will want to watch if you have this feature enabled.

You can see more information about Saving Original Images here.
